I have the HC-V785. It’s a capable little camcorder and with included battery I get from 1hr 15-30 recording time per charge at the highest video resolution and frame rate settings.

You can buy a larger battery (if you can find it but there are 3rd party batteries). You can also run it from the included charger. It is nice as it has a cold shoe adapter if you use a light source or external mike.
Some of the reviews were critical of the wind noise canceling on the built-in mic but I’ve had no problems indoors. It’s a step up from an entry level camcorder but no where near the pro-am category.
